Good DetailsNutters of Savile Row, under the creative control of David Mason, was established in 1969 by the late, great Tommy Nutter, the original maverick tailor. Dressing everyone, from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elton John and Eric Clapton to Diana Ross, Nutters holds a unique place in the history of bespoke tailoring.
The Racing Vest has been designed to compliment and coordinate with suits and blazers, or to be worn jacketless as a joyful, stylish, and practical piece of fine tailoring. The design incorporates several pockets into which tickets, racecards, fob-watches, lucky charms, tips, betting slips and winnings may be secretly concealed.Traditionally made in Irish Linen for the summer season, the vests can also be cut from an infinite variety of Tattersall’s, gaberdines, silks, velvets, doeskins and faux kidskin.
The Goodwood racing colours of primary red and yellow add a touch of brightness to even the dullest of English summer days, whilst a host of pastel shades and neutral tones create a comprehensive range to suit any outfit or occasion.
Having pioneered the development of bespoke printed silk linings, Nutters are able to offer the most unique personalised service to complete the design of an individual garment. The back of the vest offers the perfect blank canvas for print, providing the opportunity for horse-owners to display their jockey’s silks, art-lovers to recreate favourite works, or the imaginative to bring life to their wildest ideas.
Due to the couture craftsmanship of each David Mason waistcoat,
Goodwood would like to offer a more personal service in suggesting fit
and shipment and therefore are not currently available to purchase online.
